UCI MIND

UCI MIND (University of California, Irvine—Memoir and Aging Project Neurodegeneration Brain Initiative) is a research program focused on understanding how aging affects the brain, particularly related to Alzheimer’s disease and other cognitive decline. It involves studying volunteers through assessments, brain scans, and sometimes brain donations after death. The goal is to identify early signs and markers of neurodegenerative diseases, improve diagnosis, and develop better treatments to preserve memory and thinking skills as people age.
