UCC-3 form
The UCC-3 form is a legal document used to update or terminate a financing statement filed under the Uniform Commercial Code (UCC). Essentially, it’s filed by a lender or creditor to notify the public that their security interest in a debtor’s property has changed—such as when a loan is paid off (terminating the security interest) or when new collateral is added (amending the statement). This helps keep the public record accurate and clear about who has a right to certain assets, protecting both the creditor’s interest and the debtor’s transparency.
