U-tube manometer
A U-tube manometer is a device used to measure pressure differences between two points, often in gases or liquids. It consists of a U-shaped tube filled with a fluid, usually water or mercury. When pressure is applied to one or both ends, it causes the fluid levels to shift, creating a difference in height between the two sides. This height difference indicates the pressure difference: a higher level on one side means that side has less pressure. By measuring the fluid height difference, you can accurately determine the pressure in the system.
