U.S. Treasury Bonds

U.S. Treasury Bonds are long-term debt securities issued by the U.S. government to raise funds for public projects and expenses. When you buy a Treasury Bond, you're essentially lending money to the government, which in return agrees to pay you periodic interest (called coupons) over the bond’s term, typically 20 or 30 years, and to return the principal amount at maturity. They are considered very safe investments because they are backed by the U.S. government’s credit. Treasury Bonds are often used by investors seeking steady income and capital preservation.
