Tuvalu Government
Tuvalu's government is a constitutional monarchy with a parliamentary democracy. The head of government is the Prime Minister, who leads the executive branch, while the monarch (currently the British monarch) is the ceremonial head of state, represented locally by a Governor-General. The Parliament, known as the Palamene, is unicameral with elected members who create laws. The government operates within a framework of elected representatives, a constitution, and traditional customs, ensuring both democratic processes and respect for cultural heritage. Overall, it functions as a small but structured political system balancing modern governance with local traditions.
