Tutankhamun (Egyptian Pharaoh)

Tutankhamun, often called King Tut, was an Egyptian pharaoh who ruled during the 14th century BCE, part of the 18th Dynasty. He became king at a young age, around 9, and his reign lasted until his early death at about 18. Tutankhamun is famous for his nearly intact tomb discovered in 1922 by archaeologist Howard Carter, which contained many treasures and has provided invaluable insights into ancient Egypt. His reign is noted for attempts to restore traditional polytheistic practices after his predecessor, Akhenaten, introduced monotheism. Despite his brief reign, he remains one of history's most iconic pharaohs.
