Tuscarora Nation
The Tuscarora Nation is a Native American tribe originally from the southeastern United States, primarily in North Carolina. In the 18th century, they migrated northward and became one of the six nations of the Haudenosaunee (Iroquois) Confederacy in New York. Today, they maintain their cultural traditions, language, and sovereignty through the Tuscarora Nation of New York, which includes a reservation and community focused on preserving their heritage and addressing contemporary issues. They are recognized as a distinct tribe with a rich history connected to both their ancestral roots and their current identity within the larger Iroquois Confederacy.
