Turkish legislative election

Turkey's legislative elections determine the composition of the Grand National Assembly, the country's parliament. Citizens aged 18 and older vote to elect members known as deputies, who represent various political parties. The election employs a proportional representation system with a 7% national threshold, meaning only parties securing at least 7% of the vote gain seats. The number of seats each party receives depends on their share of the vote. These elections influence national policy, government leadership, and Turkey's direction, and they are held every five years unless early elections are called.
