Turbidimeters

A turbidimeter is a device used to measure the cloudiness or haziness of a liquid, typically water. It works by shining a light through the sample and detecting how much light is scattered or absorbed by particles suspended in the liquid. Higher turbidity indicates more particles, which can suggest pollution, sediment, or impurities. Turbidity measurements help assess water quality for environmental monitoring, drinking water safety, and industrial processes. The device provides a numerical reading, usually in Nephelometric Turbidity Units (NTU), enabling consistent and objective evaluation of water clarity.
