Tur Abdin is a historic mountainous region in southeastern Turkey known for its rich Christian heritage, particularly home to Syriac-speaking Orthodox monastic communities. Its name means "Mount of the Servants of God" in Syriac. The area features ancient monasteries, churches, and cliffs, serving as a spiritual center for the Syriac Christian tradition for centuries.
