Tungus people

The Tungus people, also known as Evenks and Evens, are indigenous Siberian groups living across Russia and northeastern China. Traditionally, they are nomadic reindeer herders, hunters, and fishermen, adapted to the harsh taiga and tundra environments. Their cultures feature distinct languages, spiritual beliefs, and practices connected to nature. Despite pressures from modernization and external influences, many Tungus communities maintain their heritage through language, crafts, and traditions.
