Tulving model
Tulving's model of memory proposes that our memory system is divided into different types based on how and when information is stored. It emphasizes two main types: episodic memory, which is our ability to recall specific personal experiences and events, and semantic memory, which involves general knowledge and facts about the world. These types are interconnected but serve different functions in how we remember and learn. Tulving’s model helps explain why we can remember details of certain events but also know facts without recalling personal experiences.
