Tughril Beg

Tughril Beg was a significant Turkish leader in the 11th century, known for founding the Seljuk Empire, which expanded across much of the Middle East. Born around 990, he united various tribes and played a crucial role in defeating the rival Byzantine Empire and the Fatimid Caliphate. His leadership established a powerful state that influenced Islamic culture and politics. Tughril Beg is also remembered for his efforts in supporting Sunni Islam and promoting scholarship and trade in the region. He died in 1063, leaving a legacy that shaped the region's history for centuries.
