Time-Sensitive Networking (TSN) is a set of standards that improves how data is transmitted over Ethernet networks, ensuring critical information arrives quickly and reliably. It prioritizes time-sensitive data—such as in industrial automation, autonomous vehicles, or professional audio/video—by coordinating network traffic to reduce delays and prevent delays from other, less important data. Essentially, TSN creates a predictable, real-time environment within standard Ethernet infrastructure, enabling sensitive applications to function smoothly alongside regular data traffic.
