Tsarist supporters
Tsarist supporters were individuals or groups who favored maintaining the autocratic rule of the Tsar (emperor) in Russia. They believed in strong centralized authority, traditional monarchy, and the existing social order. Often comprising nobles, conservative officials, and those wary of revolutionary change, they opposed reforms that threatened the Tsar's power. Their goal was to preserve Russia’s hierarchical structure, religion, and customs, resisting movements toward democratization or socialism. Tsarist supporters played a key role in supporting the monarchy during periods of political unrest, aiming to sustain stability and their own privileged position within Russian society.
