Trump University was a for-profit educational company founded by Donald Trump that offered real estate investment and entrepreneurship courses. Launched in 2005, it aimed to teach students Trump's business strategies through seminars, online classes, and mentorship. Despite its branding, it was not an accredited university and faced criticism for its marketing practices and the quality of its education. In 2016, Trump University was sued for misleading students about potential earnings and the value of the programs. The case was settled in 2016 for $25 million, with Trump denying any wrongdoing. The institution closed shortly after the settlement.
