Trotskyist Exile

Trotskyist exile refers to the period when Leon Trotsky, a revolutionary leader and Marxist thinker, was forced to leave the Soviet Union due to political conflicts with Stalin. After his expulsion in 1929, Trotsky lived in various countries, continuing his opposition to Stalin's policies and advocating for a different approach to socialism called Trotskyism. His exile was marked by intense debates about revolutionary strategy and opposition to authoritarianism, and he eventually settled in Mexico, where he was assassinated in 1940. The term highlights both his physical displacement and his ideological struggle against Stalinist policies.
