Trombe wall
A Trombe wall is an energy-efficient heating system that captures sunlight to warm indoor spaces. It consists of a thick, privately insulated wall, usually made of concrete or stone, painted dark to absorb heat. Behind a glass or transparent cover, sunlight passes through and heats the wall. The wall slowly releases this stored warmth into the room, reducing the need for additional heating. It’s a passive solar technology that leverages natural sunlight for heating, helping save energy and lower heating costs especially in cold climates.
