Tristan da Cunha
Tristan da Cunha is a remote and rugged group of volcanic islands in the South Atlantic Ocean, part of the British Overseas Territory. It is the most isolated inhabited archipelago in the world, with a small population of around 250 residents. The islands are known for their dramatic landscapes, rich birdlife, and strong community ties. About 2,800 kilometers from South Africa, they are accessible mainly by boat, and transportation is limited. Despite their remoteness, Tristan da Cunha has a unique way of life, relying on fishing, farming, and occasional trade, offering a fascinating example of human resilience in extreme isolation.
