Triclinic structures

A triclinic structure refers to a type of crystal arrangement where the smallest repeating unit, called the unit cell, has three unequal axes that are all tilted at different angles, with no axes at right angles. This results in a highly symmetrical but less regular crystal shape. Think of it as a 3D puzzle piece with no sides equal and no right angles, giving the crystal a unique, often complex appearance. Many minerals, like turquoise, naturally form triclinic crystals, reflecting their internal atomic arrangement.
