Trichomoniasis
Trichomoniasis is a common sexually transmitted infection caused by a parasite called Trichomonas vaginalis. It often spreads through sexual contact and can affect both men and women, although symptoms are more common in women. In women, it may cause itching, abnormal discharge, and discomfort during sex or urination. Men might have irritation inside the penis or discharge, but symptoms are less common. Many people may not show any symptoms at all. It can be easily diagnosed and treated with prescribed medications, usually antibiotics. Regular testing and safe sex practices can help prevent its spread.
