Tribal Nation

A Tribal Nation is a group of Indigenous people who share common culture, language, history, and government, and have a recognized political status. They are sovereign entities within a country, like the United States, with their own governments, laws, and customs. Tribal Nations work to preserve their traditions and serve their communities, often managing land and resources collectively. They are distinct from other government units and play an essential role in maintaining Indigenous sovereignty and identity. Examples include the Navajo Nation and the Cherokee Nation.
