Triangle Trade

Triangle Trade was a historical system where goods, enslaved Africans, and raw materials were exchanged across three regions: Europe, Africa, and the Americas. European ships carried manufactured goods to Africa, where they were traded for enslaved people. These enslaved individuals were then transported across the Atlantic to the Americas, where they were forced to work on plantations for products like sugar, coffee, and cotton. These raw materials were then shipped back to Europe to be processed and sold, completing the triangular route. This system fueled economic growth but also caused immense human suffering and lasting social impacts.
