Tree City USA
Tree City USA is an designation given by the Arbor Day Foundation to cities and towns that demonstrate a strong commitment to urban forestry. To qualify, a community must meet four standards: having a dedicated tree-care budget, a community forestry program with an appointed official, a set of city tree ordinances, and an Arbor Day celebration or forestry event each year. This recognition encourages municipalities to prioritize tree planting, maintenance, and conservation as a way to enhance environmental quality, improve urban aesthetics, and promote community well-being.
