Treaty of Trianon

The Treaty of Trianon, signed in 1920, was a peace agreement that officially ended World War I for Hungary. It significantly reduced Hungary's territory and population, causing the country to lose around two-thirds of its land to neighboring countries like Romania, Czechoslovakia, and Yugoslavia. This loss led to economic hardship and cultural dislocation for many Hungarians.
