Treaty of Paris 1763

The Treaty of Paris 1763 was an agreement that ended the Seven Years’ War (also known as the French and Indian War). It resulted in France ceding many of its territories in North America to Britain, including Canada and land east of the Mississippi River. Spain, which had allied with France, received Louisiana. This treaty significantly reshaped colonial territories, strengthening British dominance in North America while diminishing French influence. It also laid groundwork for future conflicts as new territorial boundaries created tensions among European powers and indigenous peoples.
