Trapezium

A trapezium is a four-sided polygon (quadrilateral) with one pair of parallel sides. The parallel sides are called bases, while the other two sides are non-parallel. The angles and lengths can vary, but the defining feature is that only two sides run parallel. Trapeziums are used in geometry to explore properties of angles, sides, and area calculations. They appear in architecture, design, and various engineering fields due to their unique shape and properties. The term "trapezium" is used in American English; in some regions, it is known as a trapezoid.
