Transradial prosthesis

A transradial prosthesis is an artificial limb designed to replace a hand and forearm that has been amputated below the elbow. It provides both functional and cosmetic benefits, allowing users to grasp, hold, and manipulate objects more naturally. These prostheses often include socket-fitting components, dynamic or static joints, and grips or tools, controlled through various mechanisms such as body movements, myoelectric signals, or mechanical systems. The goal is to restore as much of the arm’s function as possible, enhancing independence and quality of life for the user.
