Transmission Operators

Transmission operators are responsible for managing the high-voltage electrical grid that transports electricity from power plants to local distribution systems. They monitor and control the flow of electricity in real-time to ensure stability, balance supply and demand, and prevent outages. Their role involves adjusting switches, reconnecting lines, and responding quickly to any issues or emergencies. Essentially, they act as the traffic controllers of the electric grid, ensuring that electricity flows smoothly, safely, and reliably from generation sources to the places where it’s used.
