Transmission media

Transmission media are the channels through which data travels from one device to another in a network. They can be physical, like cables (such as fiber optic, Ethernet), or wireless, like Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, or cellular signals. Think of them as the roads or pathways that allow information to move between computers or devices. The choice of media affects the speed, distance, and quality of the connection. Different media are suited for various needs—fiber optic cables for high-speed, long-distance data transfer, and Wi-Fi for convenient wireless access within a limited area.
