Transients

Transients are short-lived, sudden changes in a system’s signal or behavior, kind of like a quick spike or dip. They can occur in electronic circuits, audio, or other systems, often caused by lightning strikes, switching devices on or off, or other abrupt events. These brief occurrences can sometimes disrupt normal operation or cause noise, but they also contain valuable information about the system’s response. Detecting and analyzing transients helps engineers diagnose problems, improve system stability, and prevent damage by understanding these quick, unexpected changes.
