Transformer Coupling

Transformer coupling is a method used in electronic circuits to transmit signals between stages without directly connecting components. It uses a device called a transformer—a coil of wire wound around a core—to transfer the signal through magnetic fields. This approach allows signals to pass while blocking unwanted direct current (DC), helping prevent interference and protect sensitive components. Essentially, transformer coupling isolates different parts of a circuit, ensuring clean signal transfer and improving overall performance without the drawbacks of direct electrical connection.
