Transfer window
A transfer window is a specific period during which soccer clubs can officially buy, sell, or loan players from other teams. It typically occurs twice a year—before the new season and in the middle of the season—and has set start and end dates. These windows allow clubs to strengthen their squads, adjust to injuries, or parts ways with players. The rules ensure transfers happen in an organized manner, preventing ongoing negotiations during other times and maintaining fairness in the sport's competitive balance.
