Transcendental Realism
Transcendental Realism is a philosophical approach that suggests there are objective, mind-independent aspects of reality that shape our experiences and knowledge. It holds that certain structures or conditions—like space, time, or causality—exist universally and necessarily, allowing us to understand the world in a meaningful way. This perspective emphasizes that our perceptions are based on real features of the world, even if our understanding is limited or influenced by our perspective. In essence, it combines a belief in an external reality with the idea that our knowledge is shaped by the structures innate to human cognition.
