Transcendental Argument

The Transcendental Argument is a philosophical approach that seeks to establish the necessary conditions for our ability to have knowledge, experience, or rational thought. It asks: what must be true for us to perceive, think, or understand the world? For example, it argues that logic and reason are fundamental, and without them, meaningful experience wouldn’t be possible. Essentially, it examines what foundational assumptions or structures—like laws of logic—must exist for us to have any knowledge at all, providing a basis for understanding how and why our cognition is possible.
