Transactional model

The transactional model explains how communication happens as a dynamic, two-way process between people. Instead of viewing communication as just sending and receiving messages, this model sees it as an ongoing exchange where both participants simultaneously send and interpret messages. Each person's words, tone, and gestures influence the other's responses, and both are affected by their own thoughts and feelings. This ongoing back-and-forth creates shared understanding, making communication a continuous, interactive process rather than a simple one-way transmission.
