Trance States

Trance states are altered mental conditions where a person’s awareness and focus shift away from their surroundings, often leading to deep relaxation, heightened suggestibility, or a sense of detachment. These states can occur naturally, as in daydreaming or meditation, or intentionally, such as during hypnosis. In trance, the brain’s activity changes, typically showing increased alpha or theta waves, allowing the individual to access different levels of consciousness. Trance states can be used for relaxation, therapy, or entertainment, and they highlight the brain’s remarkable ability to shift between different mental modes.
