Training and Enterprise Councils
Training and Enterprise Councils (TECs) were organizations in the UK designed to support local economic development by promoting workforce training and enterprise initiatives. They collaborated with businesses and government to identify skill needs, fund training programs, and encourage entrepreneurship within communities. TECs aimed to improve employment prospects, boost local industries, and foster economic growth through focused skills development. Although they no longer exist today, during their operation they played a key role in aligning training with industry demands and supporting regional economic strategies.
