Tractography

Tractography is a medical imaging technique that maps the pathways of nerve fibers in the brain by using data from MRI scans. It visualizes how different parts of the brain are connected through the white matter, the network of fibers that facilitate communication between regions. By tracking the direction of water movement along these fibers, tractography creates 3D images of neural pathways, helping doctors understand brain structure and plan surgeries, diagnose disorders, or study brain function. It’s a non-invasive way to explore the brain’s wiring in detail.
