tracheobronchial tree
The tracheobronchial tree is the airway system that carries air from your nose and mouth into your lungs. It starts with the trachea, or windpipe, which divides into two main bronchi leading into each lung. These bronchi branch into smaller tubes called bronchioles, spreading throughout the lungs. This branching network allows air to reach tiny air sacs called alveoli, where oxygen is exchanged for carbon dioxide in your blood. The structure helps efficiently deliver air to your lungs, supporting breathing and oxygen supply for your body.
