TPR (The Pensions Regulator)
The Pensions Regulator (TPR) is the UK’s government body responsible for overseeing and enforcing pension law. Its main role is to ensure that employers properly manage and fund their pension schemes, protecting workers' retirement savings. TPR monitors compliance, provides guidance, and takes enforcement actions if necessary to prevent schemes from becoming underfunded or being mismanaged. Essentially, it acts as a safeguard to ensure pension schemes remain financially healthy and that members’ benefits are secure.
