TPP (Trans-Pacific Partnership)

The Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) was a trade agreement among several Pacific Rim countries aimed at lowering tariffs, reducing trade barriers, and promoting economic integration across member nations. Its goal was to foster economic growth, create jobs, and establish consistent standards on issues like intellectual property and environmental protection. Although initially negotiated by 12 countries, the United States withdrew in 2017, leaving the agreement in a different form called the CPTPP, which still seeks to enhance trade and cooperation among member nations while addressing modern economic challenges.
