Tozinameran

Tozinameran, commonly known as the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine, is an mRNA-based vaccine designed to protect against COVID-19. It contains messenger RNA (mRNA) that encodes a piece of the virus called the spike protein. When injected, the body's cells use this mRNA to produce the spike protein, prompting the immune system to recognize it as foreign and develop protection. This immune response helps prevent illness if exposed to the actual virus. The vaccine is administered in two doses and has been effective in reducing the risk of severe COVID-19 disease.
