Toulmin Argument Model
The Toulmin Model is a way to understand and analyze how arguments are built. It breaks down arguments into six parts: the claim (what you're trying to convince others of), the grounds (evidence or reasons supporting the claim), the warrant (the connection that links the grounds to the claim), the backing (additional support for the warrant), the qualifier (indicating how strong the claim is), and the rebuttal (potential exceptions or counterarguments). This structure helps clarify the logic and strength behind arguments, making it easier to evaluate their validity and purpose.
