Total Shoulder Replacement

Total shoulder replacement is a surgical procedure where damaged parts of the shoulder joint are replaced with artificial components. It’s typically done to relieve pain and improve function in cases of severe arthritis, fractures, or rotator cuff damage that haven’t responded to other treatments. During the procedure, the damaged ball (humeral head) and socket (glenoid) are removed and replaced with metal or plastic implants that mimic natural joint movement. This can restore comfort and mobility, allowing individuals to perform daily activities more easily. Recovery involves physical therapy to regain strength and range of motion.
