Torques
Torque is a measure of how much force causes an object to rotate around a pivot point or axis. Imagine using a wrench to tighten a bolt: the farther from the bolt's center you apply force, the more turning effect or torque you generate. It's calculated by multiplying the force applied by the distance from the pivot (lever arm). Therefore, increasing either the force or the distance increases the torque, making it easier or harder to turn the object. Torque explains the effectiveness of a force in producing rotational movement, essential in machinery, engines, and many mechanical systems.
