
Tom Ridge
Tom Ridge is an American politician who served as the first Secretary of Homeland Security from 2003 to 2005, following the September 11 attacks. Before that, he was the Governor of Pennsylvania from 1995 to 2001 and a U.S. Congressman. Ridge's role in Homeland Security involved creating policies to protect the United States from terrorism and ensuring emergency preparedness. He is recognized for his efforts in coordinating various federal, state, and local agencies to improve national security and crisis response. After leaving public office, Ridge continued to work in business and public affairs.
