Tom Mboya was a prominent Kenyan politician and trade unionist, known for his leadership in Kenya’s independence movement during the 1950s and 1960s. He played a key role in advocating for workers’ rights, education, and national development. Mboya helped negotiate Kenya’s independence from British colonial rule and founded influential organizations like the Kenya African National Union (KANU). His vision was to build a united, prosperous Kenya, and he is remembered as a symbol of progress and nation-building. Tragically, he was assassinated in 1969, but his legacy continues to influence Kenyan politics and society.
