Tokhtamysh
Tokhtamysh was a 14th-century ruler of the Golden Horde, a Mongol empire in Eastern Europe and Asia. He rose to power by uniting parts of the Horde and challenging the authority of the powerful Tamerlane (Timur). Tokhtamysh briefly restored the Horde's strength and influence but eventually faced internal conflicts and external threats. His reign is notable for efforts to rebuild and route trade routes, influencing the region's history. His leadership marked a significant, though tumultuous, period in the decline of Mongol control over parts of Eurasia.
