Tokelau

Tokelau is a small, remote island territory in the southwestern Pacific Ocean, consisting of three atolls: Atafu, Fakaofo, and Nukunonu. It is a dependent territory of New Zealand, meaning it relies on New Zealand for governance and support but maintains its own local administration. The population is around 1,500 people, primarily of Polynesian descent, and they live in traditional communities. Tokelau's economy is limited, mainly based on subsistence farming, fishing, and some aid. It is known for its pristine coral reefs, unique culture, and efforts towards environmental sustainability, including renewable energy initiatives.
